PAN FRIED Haddock —infused with butter, seafood seasoning & herbs

This is an easy recipe which only requires a few ingredients and it works with any white, flaky fish

Here’s one of my absolute favorite ways of eating it. It's so very simple.

  1. Cut the fish into serving size pieces.

  2. Brush the fish with olive oil.

  3. Sprinkle lightly with salt, pepper and your favorite seafood seasonings or herbs. Tip: Use a garlic or lemon infused oil if you have it.

  4. In a skillet over medium high heat, add 1-2 Tbsp evoo, 2 Tbsp unsalted butter and swirl around until butter is melted.

  5. Carefully place the fillet in the pan. DO NOT flip the fish until the crispy bottom is set. This only takes about 2 – 3 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish. Then it’s time to flip!

  6. With a ‘Blade Fish Spatula’, VERY carefully flip each piece of fish, trying not to break the pieces. If it breaks/splits, it’s still delicious.

  8. Continue to cook about another 2-3 minutes, or until white and flakes easily with fork. (The total cooking time will depend on the type and thickness of fish)

  9. Bon Appettie

Just be sure to adjust time accordingly if the fillets are thinner or thicker than haddock fillets.

Weight-loss Thought of THE DAY!

I’ve learned a lot over these last couple of years – about what works, and what doesn’t for my lifestyle. I am more optimistic than ever, because I’ve given up quick fixes. I found the key to success was changing mindset from diet and embracing change as a new lifestyle – a long-term commitment to health and not a short-term commitment to fickle and temperamental results.

I would highly recommend focusing on creating a sustainable healthy lifestyle, not temporarily following a fad diet. I’m not knocking anyone’s route to healthy living. But at the end of every “diet” you will have to return to real life. I’m just speaking from experience when I say that effective weight management requires a committed, sustainable approach to lifestyle and behaviors that promote weight-loss and weight-loss maintenance over time.

I hope that my lifetime lifestyle commitment to health and fitness motivates YOU to find your commitment to a LIFESTYLE and not a “diet”.

YA’LL, HELP ME OUT, OK? Please leave me a 5 star comment below in the comment section, all right? I would LOVE to know if you made this recipe or even if you are planning to! Of course, tool on over to Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and tag me with some photos of your creation!
