What I have here; Tonight's Dinner - I took steaks out of the deep freeze last night. Placed steaks on a rack over a rimmed baking sheet or other tray. Place in fridge on shelf by itself. This morning I drizzled evoo and seasoned both sides of the steak with steak seasoning, salt and to amp up the flavor a pinch of cracked black pepper. -------

Rerurn seasoned steak back in and let the flavors marry until dinner time. And I use the same seasonings for asparagus. BonAppétit It's simplicity at its best. ------- The Big Thaw — My overall preferred method is to let frozen steak thaw in the refrigerator-overnight. No microwave thawing here.
